37th post, 37 weeks!

Well I haven't blogged in a really long time, but I thought it might be a good time to share my belly gallery seeing as how we're full term and all, and before the little cutie makes his appearance and steals all my thunder!

I started taking pictures at week 9 and I have to admit that more than a few of them were not taken at exactly the week that it says they were. I'm a pregnant mom of a 2 year old, a few cheats/shortcuts ARE allowed, as are waist down shots so you can't tell whether my hair and makeup are fixed or not :)

I also started off with great intentions to have the same pose every week. That all flew out the window when we went back to the US to renew our visas with just under a week's notice. So some of them are some random shots that I just went back and guesstimated what week I was in at the time.

You can tell I was finally starting to get over morning sickness!

Please ignore hole in shirt, haha!

Now for the boring, guesstimating pictures!
24 weeks (ish)

We were at a Halloween party; baby dressed up as a jack-o-lantern!

It's a boy!
26 weeks

27 weeks

28 weeks

Ok, so I wore the same outfit two weeks in a row... you can tell that two factors are in play here: 1. pregnancy brain in full effect, and 2. way fewer clothes to choose from these days!

And we're full-term!!! So thankful and excited to meet our baby boy!

Found it!

A few nights ago as I was putting away laundry I noticed that my bottle of foundation was missing from its usual spot on my dresser. I searched high and low all over our bedroom and bathroom thinking I had lost my mind. I hadn't moved it not that I could remember, anyway, I mean the pregnancy brain has been pretty bad so you never know... Anyway, after several minutes of searching and becoming more and more puzzled I walked into the living room to find this:

Yes, it's a masterpiece made by Shortcake. The little sneak had strategically hidden behind the couch where Daddy couldn't see her and thought she was innocently playing with her toys.
The medium: mommy's bottle of foundation
The method: finger painting

The result: one little girl in big trouble!

Sadly I did not have time to get a picture of her face as her Daddy carried her to the shower because it was priceless, think mug shot on a two year old add lots of liquid foundation and you get the idea.

Never a dull moment around here, I tell you!

InstaFriday

It's InstaFriday time! A fun and quirky way to share your week through cell phone pics :)

Mmmmm... Dr. Peppery goodness! Thanks, Sarah :)

Another fun treat from Aunt Sarah's care package :) She's obsessed, she plays for almost an hour each time, sitting still, in her high chair, pinch me!

Yoga at the park?

Smallest taxi ever!

Construction of a house in our neighborhood. Check out the "staircase" made out of thin logs tied together with rope. Looks as though they are also using it as a clothesline!

What a ham!

Monday, Fun-day... Second Edition

For family day last Monday we went to our city's botanical gardens. I only recently found out that they have botanical gardens here and had been wanting to check it out. It made for a fun day outdoors! Which is kind of hard to come by in the big city.

Daddy played her current favorite song on the way there. Can you tell it's her favorite?

Right when you walk in there is a cage with some bunnies... not sure why. That seems counterproductive to me as far as gardens are concerned, but I guess that's why they are in a cage?

There were nice picnic grounds...

pretty flowers...

and new friends to be made.

There was a playground for kids. Some little girls who were there playing were so intrigued with Shortcake. They came up and wanted to help her.

In India guy friends are more affectionate, i.e. they hold hands, put their arms around each other... These guys are just two friends hanging out at the park together. Still seems so odd and funny to us Americans though.

I find typos so entertaining! Every native language in India uses an alphabet other than the Latin alphabet used in English. So they are used to just spelling words phonetically. This could make teaching my daughter spelling extra challenging! Oh, and their "ethanic" food was really only bags of chips and pop, haha!

There was a trampoline so Daddy and Shortcake checked it out. It was her first time on a trampoline. I think we have a winner.

She was holding a potato chip("ethanic" food) and would not let go of it!

Her hair in this one is priceless!

Now trying it on her own.

By the end she decided it was way more fun for Daddy to hold her and jump because she got to go higher than she could on her own, our little thrill seeker!
